Years 7 & 8

YEARS 7 & 8 In this area of our school students are taught in 2 composite classes. In their homeroom each class is led by two class teachers that cover English, Mathematics and Social Science Learning Areas, as well as all of the students' pastoral needs. The other areas of the curriculum are taught by specialist staff in the secondary area of the school. The arrangement of classes varies from year to year depending upon the number of students at each level.

Years 9 - 10

 

YEARS 9 – 10 In this area of our school year groups have a homeroom teacher to support their pastoral needs. Classes are taught by specialist teachers in specialist rooms (laboratory, workshop, kitchen, computer room etc). Students in these year groups have Mathematics, English, Science, Social Science, and Physical Education courses that run all year. While other curriculum areas work on a rotation to ensure students cover all curriculum areas throughout the year. Most courses lead towards National Certificates of Educational Achievement (NCEA) at Levels 1, 2, or 3 as students began their NCEA years at Yr 11.
